Community Activities:
To Whom It May Concern: Tom is an extremely knowledgeable instructor with a relaxing teaching style. Although this course [NT4/Win2000/Novell 5.1] has a phenomenal amount of data to assimilate and understand in a very short time frame, all areas were completely covered and explained, even including reviews of A+ Hardware material pertinent to the course. He provided
the best training, real workd instead of theoretical world experiences in
networking and NOS's [Network Operating Systems] I would personally highly
recommend to because of his knowldege, delivery and personality. To Whom It May Concern: I worked closely with Tom for just over three months: I was a student and he was the Instructional Assistant. The context was a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) program, February through May 1999. The challenging nature of Tom's role as Instructional Assistant must first be emphasized: a classroom of students with a wide range of computer skills and background; a pilot program with its inherent problems; the unpredictable scenarios which can develop when man and machine interface; and the high stress levels that a fast-track training program is sure to create. Tom in my
view met this most difficult
challenge successfully. I therefore offer this recommendation. To whom it May Concern: Tom McLaughlin was my lab instructor at Olds College while taking my MCSE, A+ course there from February 1, 1999 through the end of April 1999. He was always easy to approach with questions and problems. Tom knew
the material well and if there was a problem he would always find the answer, if
not right away, then the next day. He was always working hard to keep our
spirits up when the going was getting pretty rough, or calming us down before
the big exams, working extra hours with some students who needed the help. To Whom
It May Concern:
I had Tom McLaughlin as an assistant teacher while I was taking my MCSE course
at Olds College. I found Tom to be a personable gentleman with a good
understanding of the material. He always had time to help figure out problems
from the easy fixes to the most difficult. I would recommend Tom to any company
that was considering hiring him.
