Vista Sucks - or does it?
| Whether or not you want to face the
fact Vista is Microsoft's worst OS is your choice, but don’t try to pass a legit
writer then. The longest time to come out with an OS and what does the public
get after six years and billions of R&D spent on it? mac OSX. UAC: Why does it have a pop up that only people with administrative privileges can run/install a program, and when you click on it another window pops up asking if you want to do it. Microphone: So how does one turn it on or off? Remove a program: Where? Programs on the Start Menu: Why are files first and folders last? Reasoning? Why can't one have fly out menus for sub-categories of folders? DRM: Really, who are we protecting? Boot up: 6 seconds? Really? Last patch day took 7 minutes for it to boot up, you know configuration thingys. Boot.ini: Right, how does one change it again? Don't say bcedit please. Shutdown: Yes, I want to shutdown my computer, not sleep. Change your Desktop settings: No, more than just right clicking. Control Panel: Where who, what umm, when? Pale blue text: What did that blog say? Defrag: Do a command line and see it say only Administrator account can do this. Remote desktop: Love dropping connections to XP and Server 2003 machines. Security: Turn off a feature and get the red shield. NYB. What time is it? For some reason seems to chalk up the mintues once in awhile. Dyslectic Windows Explorer view: Wrong view for files, showing documents as thumbnails and photos as tiles view Virtual Who? I bought a legal Vista Home copy but can't legally load it into VM? Sidebar: Stolen from a free XP sidebar program. Microsoft Shrills on blogs: Since when do most posters articulate themselves with big words? It's almost a game now to spot these guys a mile away. Version: Which of the 5+ versions did you order - and mac has how many? Oh yeah, Vista Business: What's business about it? Still have to buy Office. Oh wait, three quarter of them are results of 'Vista Performs Much Worse than on XP' Copying and then... After how many years if copying a folder and ONE file is corrupt, your whole copy/move is dead in the water instead of at that spot. System Restore: Needs how much? 15%? Of what? Right click, open with: What? No more. Open GL Slooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow. Did I say slow? Manual backup or deleting Temp and Cookie folder items: Where are what files? Network connect icon? Where? Windows Live: Where's the raw email file? IE7: Enough said.
