Tom's Quick WINDOWS KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS
Windows Short Cut (FLAG - between the left CNTL and ALT keys)
FLAG + E = Opens Window Explorer
FLAG + R = Run Command
FLAG + L = Lock Command
FLAG + D = Show Desktop (Minimize window, don't use Flag +M)
FLAG + Pause/Break = Shows System Properties
FLAG + TAB = Windows Vista and Windows 7 Aero Glass rolodex feature
ALT + TAB = Switch between open programs
ALT + F4 = Quit the current program, or keep re-pressing to shut down

Windows Program Key Combinations
CNTL + A = Select All
CNTL + B = Bold
CNTL + I = Italic
CNTL + F = Find and Replace (next tab over)
CNTL + C = Copy
CNTL + X = Cut
CNTL + V = Paste
CNTL + Z = Undo
CNTL + Mouse Spin Wheel = Zoom in and Out.
CNTL + F1 = Minimize Office 2007 Ribbon and bring it back again.
To Select Multiple Files
Press and hold down the CNTL key while you click on another file.
Use SHIFT+Click if continuous selections.
PowerPoint Shortcuts
F5 = Start playing your Slide Show from the first slide
Shift + F5 = Start from your present slide
B = Blanks out a presentation (or period, and W to White it out)
ALT+0169 = Shows the © mark.
Slide # + Enter = Move to a slide (ie: 5+Enter moves to slide 5 during
presentation)
General Folder/Shortcut Control
F5: Refreshes the current window.
Navigation Shortcuts
HOME = to beginning of line or far left of field or screen.
END = to end of line, or far right of field or screen,except in Excel, must
use CNTL + Right Arrow.
CNTL + HOME = to the top
CNTL + END = to the bottom.
PAGE UP = moves you up in your document or dialogue box by one page
PAGE DOWN = moves you down in your document or dialogue list by one page.
Accessibility Shortcuts
• Press SHIFT five times: Toggles StickyKeys on and off
• Press down and hold the right SHIFT key for eight seconds: Toggles
FilterKeys on and off
• Press down and hold the NUM LOCK key for five seconds: Toggles ToggleKeys
on and off
• Left ALT+left SHIFT+NUM LOCK: Toggles MouseKeys on and off
• Left ALT+left SHIFT+PRINT SCREEN: Toggles high contrast on and off
