After the couple of weeks spent at Waikiki Beach, we then flew over to the
Hyatt
Regency on Maui to round off the trip, where once again my Mom got a top
notch suite, one facing the pool even!

Hyatt
Regency Hotel, Maui...view from our balcony.
The palm trees you see in the front, were actually brought in from other
parts of the island as few trees can grow on this west side because of the
wind.
The design of this hotel was well done, with two swimming pools connected by
going through a waterfall rock formation. Inside the formation was a water
level bar...meaning you could swim up to the bar and have a drink!
That's where I learned to scuba dive for the first time. Wow, Jacques Cousteau
look out! I battled savage rubber duckies, swam thru tidal forces from the
water jets, and bravely battled my way through a dense forest of legs, and
didn't even squeeze the sea urchins...uh, bikini's...and I finally reached my
destination...the other end of the swimming pool you see below! Hahaha...
Towards the south wing, there is the Japanese Gardens, and dining room, with
beautiful white swans that would swim up near your table while you ate!
On Maui, there is the observatory one can go up to and take a breath-taking
view of the island and at night time the stars are beautiful!
